Terms of Use
Version DRAFT-2026-10-31.1 · Last updated: 31 October 2026
Provider: upSkillScore LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Pyrmont Holdings, Inc., 8 The Green #25924, Dover, DE 19901, United States ("Practilium", "we").
Also read the Privacy Policy.
1. Acceptance and changes of scope
1.1. Acceptance is active: you tick the acceptance box at sign-up or on the re-acceptance screen. By doing so, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. We record the accepted version, the date and time, the IP address and the browser when the acceptance is confirmed on our servers. To keep using the platform you must accept the current version.
1.2. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
2. Definitions
- Platform: the Practilium web application and associated services (mock exams, simulated clinical cases, study paths, AI tutor, atlas, progress dashboard).
- Content: questions, cases, sheets, texts, images, grading notes and materials on the platform, produced with artificial intelligence.
- User Content: answers, texts and messages that you submit.
- Free Plan / Pro Plan: the tiers described on the plans page.
- AI: language models used to grade, explain and chat.
3. What the platform is, and what it is not
3.1. It is an educational study and practice tool for exams and medical training.
3.2. It is not a healthcare service and is not part of the NHS. It does not provide care, diagnosis, prescriptions or medical advice, and it must not be used as a basis for decisions about a real patient. Cases are simulations and may simplify or differ from practice.
3.3. It does not guarantee that you will pass, or reach any score or place, in any exam.
3.4. All Content (cases, questions, atlas sheets, explanations, corrections, scores and tutor answers) is generated by artificial intelligence. No doctor or healthcare professional writes, reviews, corrects or validates the Content, and nothing on the platform is the opinion or guidance of a healthcare professional. The Content may contain errors, be out of date or differ from official guidelines, and not every item has a verified source. Always check the primary source (guidelines, package inserts, legislation) before relying on any information.
4. Artificial intelligence
4.1. Free-text grading, feedback, explanations and the tutor are generated by AI, which can make mistakes, invent information and give different answers each time. The score and the readiness indicator are educational estimates, with no official or certification value. Grading is done by AI, not by a doctor or teacher.
4.2. You may submit a score dispute through the platform. It goes into an internal review queue handled by our team. This is not a clinical review, there is no guaranteed response time and there is no automatic notice. You may also write to privacy@practilium.com and ask for a person to review an automated score. Your rights about automated decisions are explained in the Privacy Policy.
4.3. Do not use the AI to obtain unlawful content, to get around the rules of the service, or to extract the Content in bulk.
4.4. Details are in the AI Notice.
5. Account and access
5.1. You must be at least 18 years old. By signing up, you confirm that your information is true and current.
5.2. The account is personal and non-transferable. Do not share your credentials. You are responsible for actions taken with them. Tell us about any misuse.
5.3. The account is for individual use. Use by different people is not allowed. If we turn on a technical device limit, we will tell you before purchase, and you will be able to switch devices at no cost.
5.4. You are responsible for keeping your e-mail address up to date and for your own connection, device and browser.
6. Plans, price and billing
6.1. Free Plan: with usage limits described on the plans page. We may change them with prior notice.
6.2. Pro Plan: a monthly or annual subscription that renews automatically for the same period until you cancel. Prices are shown on the plans page before purchase; applicable taxes such as VAT are shown at checkout. Billing is by card only, through Stripe. The date of the next renewal is shown in the billing portal. We do not store the card number.
6.3. Cancellation: at any time through the billing portal. Cancelling stops new charges, and Pro access continues until the end of the period you already paid for.
6.4. 14-day right to cancel: if you are a consumer, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of purchase under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. If you ask us to start the service during that time, you may have to pay for what has already been provided. Full rules are in the Refund Policy.
6.5. After that period: there is no pro-rata refund for the current period, except for undue or duplicate charges, our proven fault, or if we end the service. This does not affect your statutory rights.
6.6. Price changes: we announce them 30 days in advance. They apply only from the next renewal, and you may cancel before then.
6.7. Payment failure: we keep Pro access for up to 7 days of grace while we retry the payment. If the failure continues, access returns to the Free Plan. Your data is kept as described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Acceptable use
The following is not allowed: (a) copying, scraping, redistributing or reselling Content; (b) reverse engineering; (c) getting around quotas, billing, the device lock or technical controls; (d) trying to manipulate the AI (prompt injection) to extract instructions or protected content, or to cause harm; (e) using bots or automation without authorisation; (f) entering identifiable information about a real patient or any third-party data you have no right to share; (g) posting unlawful or offensive content, or content that infringes the rights of others; (h) overloading or trying to break into the infrastructure; (i) using the platform to train other AI models.
7-A. Origin of content, exam boards and trademarks
Practilium is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any exam board, university, regulator or professional body. Names and trademarks mentioned belong to their owners and are used only to identify the subject. If you believe any content infringes your rights, write to info@practilium.com identifying the item and explaining your ownership. We will review it and remove it promptly where appropriate.
8. Intellectual property
8.1. The platform, the software, the brand, the design and the Content belong to upSkillScore LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Pyrmont Holdings, Inc. or its licensors. Nothing here transfers ownership to you.
8.2. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the platform for your own study while these Terms are in force.
8.3. User Content remains yours. You give us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, process and display it only to provide the service, and to produce aggregated and anonymised statistics to improve it. We do not use your answers to train third-party AI models. The AI provider we use (Amazon Bedrock) does not use the content sent to it to train its base models.
8.4. We may use suggestions and feedback without any obligation to pay you.
9. Availability and changes to the service
9.1. We provide the platform with reasonable care and skill and use reasonable efforts to keep it running. It is subject to maintenance, third-party failures and downtime, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation.
9.2. We may change, suspend or discontinue features. If we discontinue the Pro Plan, or remove an essential feature of it, during a paid period, you may cancel and receive the pro-rata amount for the unused period.
10. Liability
10.1. If you are a consumer, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives you rights, including that digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described, and that services must be provided with reasonable care and skill. These Terms do not affect those statutory rights. The Content and AI answers are study support material and may contain inaccuracies, as we state clearly here and on the platform. Subject to your statutory rights, we are not liable for loss that comes from using the material as a sole source, from clinical decisions about a real patient (item 3.2), or from exam results.
10.2. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
10.3. For users who are not consumers (business use), our liability is limited to the amount paid in the previous 12 months and excludes lost profits and indirect loss.
11. Personal data
We handle personal data as described in the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy, in line with UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018). Advertising cookies (Google Ads and Meta) are used only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time without affecting your use of the platform. Data Protection Officer: Jeremy Dixon, privacy@practilium.com.
12. Suspension and termination
12.1. By you: delete your account whenever you wish. Future charges stop on cancellation (item 6.3).
12.2. By us: we may suspend the account for serious breach of these Terms, fraud, security risk or legal order. We will give the reason by e-mail and allow 5 days to respond, unless the matter is urgent. Disputing a charge with your card issuer without first contacting support, or in bad faith, may lead to suspension while the review lasts.
12.3. After termination, the clauses that by their nature should continue stay in force (intellectual property, liability and governing law).
13. Changes to these Terms
We will tell you about relevant changes by e-mail or a notice on the platform. They will need a new active acceptance at your next visit, before you continue using the platform. The date and version are at the top. If you disagree with an unfavourable change, cancel and receive the pro-rata amount for the unused period.
14. Communications
Notices sent to the e-mail address on your account, and notices shown on the platform, count as valid notice to you.
15. Governing law, dispute resolution and jurisdiction
15.1. These Terms, and any dispute arising from them, are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you also keep the mandatory consumer protections of the part of the UK where you live.
15.2. Please contact support first (info@practilium.com). We aim to reply within 5 business days. If we cannot settle the matter, you may also use mediation or another alternative dispute resolution service.
15.3. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer and live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may bring proceedings in the courts of Scotland or Northern Ireland, as the case may be. For anyone who is not a consumer, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
16. General provisions
If a clause is void, the others remain. Not enforcing a clause is not a waiver of it. You may not assign your account. We may assign the contract in a corporate reorganisation, preserving your rights.
