About this image: description, credit and labeled bones
Both legs from the knees to the feet in three planes: distal femur, patella, tibia and fibula.
CT angiography: contrast in the vessels makes the arteries look bright in the soft tissue. Bones were segmented automatically by MOOSE (not by the dataset) and may have small inaccuracies, especially at the ankle. The field of view is cropped: the femur runs off the top edge and the forefoot off the bottom; the ankle and foot are visible but unlabeled. The scanner table and foot rest appear as bright lines and blocks under the legs. The two legs sit in slightly different positions (about 1.5 cm), so no slice shows both at the same level. In the sagittal plane the slice index runs from the patient's left to right: the first slices show the left leg, the last ones the right leg, with an empty gap between them.
About these images: the radiographs are reconstructed by computer from public, anonymized CT scans, and the CT studies are resampled slices of those same scans. Bones are outlined from the dataset's own segmentations (or from MOOSE, in the knee and femur studies). They are for studying normal anatomy, not for diagnostic training.
