About this image: description, credit and labeled bones
The whole femur from the side: head, greater trochanter, anterior bow and condyles.
Only the right femur is labeled. The pelvis (which overlaps the head and neck), the patella (on the left, anterior), and the proximal tibia appear unlabeled. The left thigh was removed from the volume so it would not overlap.
About these images: the radiographs are reconstructed by computer from public, anonymized CT scans, and the CT studies are resampled slices of those same scans. Bones are outlined from the dataset's own segmentations (or from MOOSE, in the knee and femur studies). They are for studying normal anatomy, not for diagnostic training.
